Collection: EPR Service Packages

Anyone selling goods into Germany may be subject to up to four sets of obligations at once, depending on the product: the ElektroG for electrical equipment, the BattDG for batteries, the VerpackDG for packaging and the EWKFondsG for single-use plastic products. This page collects the core service packages for all four.

Which package do you need?

Two questions almost always decide it:

  • Do you have a branch (Niederlassung) in Germany? Without one, an authorised representative is mandatory – ECOPV-EU GmbH under the ElektroG and BattDG, ECOPACK GmbH under the VerpackDG.
  • Do you already have an account with stiftung ear? If not, the matching package includes the initial registration.

What the packages contain

  • Electrical equipment / ElektroG: WEEE registration with stiftung ear, participation in a B2C financing system via a guarantee agreement, collection following a collection order (Abholanordnung), and quantity notifications including the annual statistics notification – optionally including an authorised representative.
  • Batteries / BattDG: registration with stiftung ear, connection to a producer responsibility organisation (OfH), collection and recycling of waste portable batteries, and support with notification obligations.
  • Packaging / VerpackDG: take-back of transport packaging and the declaration of completeness under § 10 VerpackDG by an auditor registered with ZSVR.
  • Single-use plastics / EWKFondsG: authorised representative in Germany, the annual quantity report via DIVID and handling of the single-use plastics levy.

Still unclear what applies to you?

The compliance basic workshop establishes in four hours how many of the four sets of obligations affect your range, including an action plan. Supplementary individual services such as brand notifications, master data changes or proof of guarantee are listed in their own categories.
