EPR Austria

Austria combines electrical equipment and batteries in a single service package; packaging is registered separately. Manufacturers without a branch in Austria need an authorised representative on site – that role is performed by ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Salzburg.

  • Electrical equipment / batteries – one package for both waste streams, €200 minimum recycling included
  • Packaging – €90 basic recycling included

Both registrations are submitted in quarterly batches, so allow three to four months of processing time. That is the longest lead time in this overview – if you want to be ready to sell by the turn of the year, start in late summer at the latest. Ongoing reporting is then annual.

Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store. Precisely because of the long lead time, Austria is the country where putting it off is most expensive.
