EPR Italy

Italy requires a separate registration for electrical equipment, batteries and packaging. Manufacturers without a branch in Italy need an authorised representative on site – that role is performed by our group company ECOPV-ITALY S.R.L., based in Milan.

  • Electrical equipment (WEEE) – 8–10 weeks, annual report, €30 basic recycling included
  • Batteries (portable, industrial and vehicle batteries) – 6–8 weeks, annual report
  • Electrical equipment + batteries as a bundle – cheaper than both packages separately
  • Packaging – 10–16 weeks, quarterly reports, 250 kg of paper and 50 kg of plastic included

Processing times in Italy are among the longer ones in the EU, especially for packaging. If you want to be ready to sell by the turn of the year, start in late summer.

Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store – Italy included. Listings without a valid registration number are blocked.
