Insolvency-proof guarantee for lamps – excluding gas discharge lamps.

stiftung ear treats lamps as a device category of their own: devices for generating light, above all replaceable light sources intended for use in luminaires. LED lamps, halogen lamps and comparable light sources belong here. Gas discharge lamps such as fluorescent tubes are listed separately and have their own package with us.

One peculiarity with lamps: the weight per unit is tiny, while unit numbers are high. Reporting is still done in kilograms – so convert your unit figures before choosing a tonnage tier.

For lamps that can also be used in private households, § 7 ElektroG requires an insolvency-proof guarantee: at registration and again in every calendar year.
