Collection: Guarantee for Producers
The insolvency-proof guarantee is a statutory safeguard under § 7 of the German WEEE act (ElektroG4). It ensures that take-back and disposal of your equipment remain financed even in the event of insolvency – and it is a precondition for registration with stiftung ear.
We provide the guarantee per device category as a tonnage package – including buffer and guarantee year:
- Large and small appliances
- Screen devices
- Heat exchangers
- Lamps and gas discharge lamps
- Small IT and telecommunications equipment
- Large and small photovoltaic modules
Guarantee certificate within 24 hours. Prices quoted are net; ear fees are not included.
For planned volumes above the respective package limit we prepare an individual quote – send us your volumes per device category.
Why a guarantee is required. It secures the disposal of your equipment even if you are no longer on the market as a producer. That is why it is a precondition of registration and must be renewed annually.
The guarantee is provided per device category, not per company. Anyone distributing equipment across several categories needs several packages accordingly.
The corresponding registration runs through WEEE Compliance. Producers without a German branch will find their counterpart under Guarantee for Authorized Representatives; disposal itself is covered by ElektroG Disposal.
The guarantee is not a formality: without valid proof you face substantial fines, withdrawal of your WEEE number and a sales ban in Germany. It has to be renewed annually.
