Collection: Electrical Equipment (ElektroG / WEEE)
Anyone placing electrical and electronic equipment on the German market must register with stiftung ear under the WEEE law (ElektroG) before the first sale. Without registration, a sales ban applies.
Our service packages cover the full scope of obligations:
- Registration with stiftung ear – with or without a German branch
- Appointment of an authorised representative for producers without a German establishment
- Connection to a take-back system and B2C take-back
- Ongoing volume reporting and annual declaration

Which package fits? It depends on whether you have a branch in Germany. Without one, an authorised representative is mandatory – already included in the corresponding package.
Do not underestimate the deadlines. Registration must be completed before the first placing on the market, not alongside it. Allow lead time, especially where an authorised representative has to be appointed.
In addition to registration, producers of B2C equipment need a guarantee certificate: Guarantee for Producers or Guarantee for Authorized Representatives. Resulting collection orders are covered by ElektroG Disposal.
