EPR Belgium

Belgium requires a separate registration for electrical equipment, batteries and packaging. Manufacturers without a branch in Belgium need an authorised representative on site – that role is performed by our group company ECOPV srl, based in Uccle near Brussels.

  • Electrical equipment (WEEE) – 6–8 weeks, quarterly reports, €20 basic recycling included
  • Batteries – 6–8 weeks; portable batteries are reported annually, industrial batteries monthly
  • Packaging – 8–14 weeks, annual report, €100 minimum recycling included

Note the differing reporting frequencies: electrical equipment quarterly, packaging annually, and for batteries it depends on the battery category. We manage the deadlines for you.

Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store – Belgium included. As packaging registration here takes up to 14 weeks, an early start pays off.
