Insolvency-proof guarantee for screens and monitors – proof within 24 hours.

Under the stiftung ear device classification, this category covers equipment that displays images and information on an electronic screen, regardless of screen size. It also covers devices containing a screen with a surface larger than 100 cm², provided display is their main purpose. Typical examples are televisions, monitors, notebooks, tablets and digital photo frames.

The classification decides which device category you report under: a notebook belongs here because of its screen, while a router belongs to small IT and telecommunications equipment. Report under the wrong category and you will have to correct it later.

For equipment that can also be used in private households, the guarantee under § 7 ElektroG is mandatory – at registration and then calendar year after calendar year. Pure b2b equipment is exempt.
