Collection: EPR Spain

Spain requires a separate registration for electrical equipment, batteries and packaging. Manufacturers without a branch need an authorised representative on site; that role is performed for us by a partner company. Registration requires a Hague apostille – that fee is already included in our packages.

  • Electrical equipment (WEEE), categories 1–6 – 6–8 weeks, annual report; on first registration one category and three brands are included
  • Electrical equipment (WEEE), category 7 – photovoltaic modules – separate package with 40 t of recycling costs included
  • Batteries – 6–8 weeks, quarterly reports
  • Packaging – at least 3 months, annual report; requires a Spanish tax number (NIF)

The separate category for photovoltaic modules is a Spanish peculiarity: anyone supplying modules to Spain registers not under the general equipment categories but under category 7.

Allow sufficient lead time – packaging registration in Spain takes considerably longer than in Germany, and it cannot start without a NIF.
