Collection: Amazon EPR mandatory countries

Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store – no longer only Germany and France. For batteries, country-specific registration has been mandatory since 18 August 2025.

Listings without a valid registration number are blocked. In several countries this happens with no transition period and no warning; in others, sellers are automatically enrolled in chargeable substitute schemes run by the marketplace.

What matters now

  • Every country has its own register. A German LUCID registration has no effect in France or Italy.
  • Every waste stream counts separately. If you ship electrical equipment in packaging, you need two registrations per country, not one.
  • Storing counts as selling. If your goods sit in a marketplace warehouse abroad, the registration obligation applies there – even without a single sale in that country.
  • Lead time is the real risk. Processing takes from two weeks in the Netherlands to four months in Austria. Anyone who only starts after a suspension loses that entire period as lost revenue.

Here you will find all registrations for the countries Amazon actively verifies. The contracting party and invoicing entity throughout is ECOPV-EU GmbH; the role of authorised representative is performed in each case by our own company or our partner in the target country.
