Anyone placing electrical and electronic equipment on the Spanish market must register before the first sale. Manufacturers without a branch in Spain need an authorised representative on site. This package covers equipment categories 1 to 6.
Photovoltaic modules are not covered here. In Spain they form their own category 7 – there is a separate package for them, see Photovoltaic Modules (WEEE Cat. 7) – Spain.
The Hague apostille is included
Spanish registration requires a certified power of attorney bearing a Hague apostille. That fee is already included in our price – many providers charge it separately and it only shows up on the invoice.
Scope of services
- Appointment of an authorised representative established in Spain
- Certification and Hague apostille of the power of attorney
- Registration as a producer of electrical and electronic equipment
- Annual quantity report for the equipment placed on the Spanish market
- Ongoing communication with the authority and the recycling system
The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn. The role of authorised representative in Spain is performed for us by a partner company, as the law requires a person established in Spain.

- Companies already registered in Germany that want to add Spain – the German WEEE registration does not apply in Spain
