Anyone placing batteries on the Dutch market must register before the first sale. An authorised representative is not required – unlike in most EU countries.
This package covers portable batteries and batteries for light means of transport. The obligation also applies if you do not sell batteries separately but ship devices with built-in or enclosed batteries.
Scope of services
- Registration as a battery producer
- Annual quantity report for the batteries placed on the Dutch market
- Ongoing communication with the authority and the recycling system
The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn.
