Anyone placing batteries on the Italian market must register before the first sale. Manufacturers without a branch in Italy need an authorised representative on site. This package covers portable, industrial and vehicle batteries.
The obligation also applies if you do not sell batteries separately but ship devices with built-in or enclosed batteries.
Scope of services
- Appointment of an authorised representative established in Italy
- Registration as a battery producer
- Annual quantity report for the batteries placed on the Italian market
- Ongoing communication with the authority and the recycling system
The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn. The role of authorised representative in Italy is performed by our group company ECOPV-ITALY S.R.L., based in Milan. Both companies belong to the ECOPV group; there is no third party in the chain.
