Anyone shipping goods to Spain also places packaging on the market and is subject to packaging producer responsibility. Manufacturers without a branch in Spain need an authorised representative on site.
Prerequisite: a Spanish tax number (NIF). Without a NIF, packaging registration in Spain cannot start. Please check this before ordering – if you do not have one yet, contact us in advance.
Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store. Sellers on Amazon Spain without a valid number are automatically enrolled in a chargeable substitute scheme run by the marketplace.

The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn. The role of authorised representative in Spain is performed for us by a partner company, as the law requires a person established in Spain.

Plan the lead time. At a minimum of three months, Spain is among the slowest packaging registrations in the EU – and the clock only starts once the NIF is in place.
