Anyone shipping goods to Italy also places packaging on the market and is subject to packaging producer responsibility. Manufacturers without a branch in Italy need an authorised representative on site.
Since 12 August 2026 Amazon has been verifying packaging registration in every EU country in which you sell or store – no longer only Germany and France. Listings without a valid registration number are blocked.

The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn. The role of authorised representative in Italy is performed by our group company ECOPV-ITALY S.R.L., based in Milan. Both companies belong to the ECOPV group; there is no third party in the chain.

Plan the lead time. At 10 to 16 weeks, Italian packaging registration is the longest in our portfolio. Anyone starting only after a marketplace suspension loses that entire period as lost revenue.
