Anyone placing batteries on the Belgian market must register before the first sale. Manufacturers without a branch in Belgium need an authorised representative on site.
The obligation also applies if you do not sell batteries separately but ship devices with built-in or enclosed batteries.

The contracting party and invoicing entity is ECOPV-EU GmbH, based in Eschborn. The role of authorised representative in Belgium is performed by our group company ECOPV srl, based in Uccle near Brussels. Both companies belong to the ECOPV group; there is no third party in the chain.

Belgium distinguishes reporting frequency by battery category: portable batteries are reported annually, industrial batteries monthly. We clarify which applies to you during registration and then take care of the deadlines.
