WEEE is the common abbreviation for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Producers' obligations for the take-back and recycling of such waste equipment are governed at European level by the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU and in Germany by the ElektroG.
All manufacturers and importers are legally required to
- report the quantities of all equipment they place on the market to stiftung elektro-altgeräte register (stiftung ear);
- take back their waste electrical and electronic equipment, recycle it properly and dispose of all hazardous substances arising in the process in compliance with the law, using suitable treatment methods.
We support you comprehensively in meeting all legal obligations.
Our service package includes the following services:
- Registration of the contracting party with stiftung ear
- Appointment of an authorised representative under § 8 ElektroG
- Notification to stiftung ear of the permanent cessation of placing electrical and electronic equipment on the market in Germany in accordance with § 6 (1) sentence 4 ElektroG
- Participation in a B2C financing system via a guarantee agreement
- Provision of suitable containers in accordance with § 15 ElektroG
- Prompt collection of B2C waste equipment following a collection order (Abholanordnung) from stiftung ear, and provision of new empty containers in accordance with § 16 ElektroG
- Reuse of the waste equipment or handover to a suitable initial treatment facility
- Fulfilment of all notification obligations towards stiftung ear in accordance with § 27 ElektroG, including the monthly quantity notifications (input), the output reports and the annual statistics notification
- Regular communication with stiftung ear

The ECOPV-EU service package under the ElektroG is designed for customers who place no more than the following quantities on the market each year:
- up to 200 kg of lamps
- up to 1 t of heat exchangers
- up to 1 t of screens and monitors
- up to 5 t of large equipment over 50 cm (excluding photovoltaic modules)
- up to 5 t of small equipment under 50 cm
- up to 5 t of small IT and telecommunications equipment under 50 cm
- up to 5 t of photovoltaic modules
- one device category
- one brand
Additional device categories or brands can be booked separately in our shop.
If the quantities you actually place on the market exceed these limits, you can purchase an additional quantity package.
If your electrical equipment is used exclusively commercially and not in private households, please contact us in advance.
Please note: before you report planned quantities, you must have purchased sufficient quantities in our shop.
