WEEE is the common short form used to refer to waste electrical and electronic equipment. Both the EU WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU and Germany's ElektroG law define and govern producer duties related to the take-back and recycling of such waste electronic and electrical goods.
All manufacturers and importers are bound to fulfil the below legal requirements:
- Submit the volume data of all products released onto the market to the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (EAR).
- Arrange the take-back of their own waste electrical and electronic equipment, carry out standard recycling processes, and properly dispose all generated hazardous substances via qualified treatment methods in line with legal rules.
We provide full professional assistance to help you fulfil all your statutory obligations!
Our all-inclusive service package covers the listed full-range solutions:
- Complete contractor registration procedures with Stiftung EAR
- Submit formal notice to EAR Foundation for permanent cessation of electrical and electronic equipment sales within Germany, complying with Paragraph 6 (1) Clause 4 of ElektroG
- Enable clients to join the B2C device financing system established and managed by Landbell via formal warranty agreement
- Arrange placement of qualified collection containers in compliance with § 15 ElektroG
- Arrange prompt collection of B2C waste electrical equipment upon allocation notice from Stiftung EAR, and replace with brand-new empty containers as required under § 16 ElektroG
- Deliver recovered used equipment to qualified primary processing facilities for reuse and proper disposal
