Single-Use Plastic Products (SUP) Authorization Service in Germany

Extended Producer Responsibility is applicable to specific single-use plastic products across all EU member states, including Germany. Examples of the relevant product categories are listed below:

• Takeaway food containers, drinking cups and vessels
• Wet wipes
• Balloons
• Tobacco products containing filters, as well as separate filters for tobacco products

Non-resident foreign manufacturers without a local establishment in Germany are required to appoint an authorised representative. This representative shall take on EWKFondsG regulatory obligations (excluding registration and quantity reporting procedures) and submit relevant information during the registration process.
