These services cover the execution of all necessary material evaluations recognised as authoritative under the ZSVR minimum standard.
This offer is primarily aimed at manufacturers who need to provide their trade customers with confirmation on the recyclability of their used packaging materials. Within this scope, the following criteria are considered when reviewing the recyclable portion eligible for recycling:
- Availability of sorting and recovery infrastructure suitable for high-quality mechanical recycling.
- Sortability of the packaging and, where applicable, separability of its individual components.
- Incompatibilities present in packaging components or embedded substances that could hinder successful recycling according to established recycling practices.
This module does not apply to packaging manufactured from paper or paper composites, and detailed expert consultation is not included within this service. For such requirements, please choose Module 3 for packaging certification.
Evaluation Process: To complete the evaluation, we require 3–5 physical samples of your packaging(s), together with the official material specification documents provided by your packaging material supplier. Should the submitted specifications lack sufficient clarity, additional supporting information may be requested.
Issuance of Recyclability Review Certificate under the Minimum Standard: You will receive a formal assessment document including all key evaluation findings. In addition, we will provide supporting documentation explaining the full assessment rationale. The issued certificate remains valid for a period of 2 years. Any relevant modifications made to the packaging within this validity period will require a fresh evaluation. Relevant changes refer to all adjustments affecting material weight or material composition.
