WEEE is the common abbreviation for waste electrical and electronic equipment. The obligations of producers regarding the take-back and recycling of such waste equipment are regulated by the EU WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU at the European level and by the ElektroG in Germany.
Manufacturers and importers are legally obligated to:
- Report the quantity of goods they place on the market to the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register ("EAR");
- Take back their waste electrical and electronic equipment, recycle it, and dispose of any hazardous substances that may occur in accordance with legal requirements using appropriate treatment techniques.
We are here to support you in fulfilling these obligations!
Our service package includes the following services for you:
- Registration of the contracting party with the Stiftung EAR;
- Notification to the Stiftung EAR of the permanent discontinuation of placing electrical and electronic equipment on the market within the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, in compliance with Section 6 (1) sentence 4 ElektroG;
- Enrollment of the contracting party in the B2C device financing system established and operated by Landbell (via a warranty contract);
- Installation of suitable collection containers in accordance with § 15 ElektroG;
- Prompt collection of B2C waste equipment following allocation by the Stiftung EAR, along with the installation of new empty containers in accordance with § 16 ElektroG;
- Reuse of old equipment or delivery to a suitable primary treatment facility;
