The BattDG obliges every producer to join an approved OfH. Since 15 January 2026 the assignment must be evidenced in the ear portal; without it the registration is considered incomplete.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat is the PIN for?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe PIN is the evidence of your participation. You enter it in your account in the ear portal; the stiftung ear reconciles it with the OfH's records. Without a PIN on file, the assignment remains open.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhy is the recycling contribution of 20 € not included?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBecause it depends on the volume you actually have taken back and is billed separately. The contribution of 20 € covers the take-back of up to 30 kg of waste batteries.
